Failure often starts below
Peeling can come from contamination, moisture, poor preparation, incompatible products, or a weak concrete surface. Covering the symptom does not identify the cause.
Removal scope varies
Thin paint, thick epoxy, elastomeric material, adhesive, and hard clear coats can require different tooling, time, and edge work.
The slab appears after removal
Pitting, cracks, stains, and previous patching may become visible only after the old finish is gone. Build contingency into the estimate.
The material label is not the complete proposal.
Compare surface preparation, repairs, actual product names, layer sequence, coverage, texture, cure schedule, exclusions, and warranty. A low square-foot figure without those details is difficult to evaluate.
