Location provides context, but it does not select the coating. Photograph the full floor, visible cracks, joints, pitting, stains, edge conditions, and any previous finish. Note whether the garage is attached, detached, heated, used as a workshop, or exposed to strong door light.
Existing concrete determines preparation and repair.
Bare concrete, paint, sealer, failed epoxy, contamination, and patching require different scopes. Ask how the main field, edges, stem walls, steps, and hard-to-reach areas will be mechanically prepared.
Choose the system around exposure and use.
Discuss snowmelt, grit, sunlight, rolling equipment, storage, chemical exposure, cleaning, desired texture, color, and the time vehicles can remain outside. The proposal should connect each layer to those requirements.
